Meet Dr. Ana Cristina Andrada
Dr. Ana Andrada was born and raised in Brazil where she earned her first dental degree from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil (UFSC) in 1999. She practiced as a general dentist before pursuing a career in Endodontics, receiving a certificate in 2005. Dr. Andrada then worked in private practice as an Endodontist, while dedicating time to a community health center and giving back to her institution as a pre-doctoral instructor.
Later, Dr. Andrada moved to Boston to further her education. There she received her Endodontic Certificate from Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) in 2015, and her Doctor of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology in 2016 by the same institution. In 2018, Dr. Andrada finished the Accelerated Dental Program at University of Detroit-Mercy earning a U.S. Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. In 2016, she was appointed as a full-time Endodontic Professor at Detroit Mercy Dental School, teaching pre-doctoral students and Endodontic residents, where she maintains a full-time teaching appointment.
Dr. Andrada maintains memberships in the American Association of Endodontists, Michigan Association of Endodontists and International Association of Dental Traumatology. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association, Michigan Dental Association and Oakland County Dental Society. She has achieved the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and has published several papers in peer review journals.
She lives in Birmingham with her husband, who is a periodontist, and their son. When she is not working, Dr. Andrada enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
